The Coming Of Age: A short film by Matthew Provenzano

Not often I’d post something like this but it is quite a n interesting piece of short film making. This is an animation about the shortness of life and the joys that it can hold. It was also apparently made by a 15 year old lad named Matthew Provenzano with music provided by, I assume, his brother Dom. Could be his dad. I’m picking up details where I can. Anywho, it took 1400 hand drawn pictures and 2 months to make this 3 minutes and 43 seconds of animation. If you’ve ever tried animating yourself you’ll know just how tiresome it can get. It takes genuine passion for the craft to actually complete anything in animation solo. So anyway click the link for the video and HD link.

And here’s the HD link.
